Mary Donohue - I was taught to tat by Donna Thompson
the Reigo way. I have since learned traditional tatting and front
side tatting all in one breath. I am taking the Tatters Across Time
Proficiency Program Apprentice Phase I course.
I just recently designed my 1st two tatting patterns which are available
on my website at http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/community.dll?ep=16&groupid=41771&ck.
I was born and raised in the New England area (Rhode Island). We
were moving to Florida when we stopped in to visit some friends in
South Carolina and never left. (Mary, we are GLAD you stayed!) |

Hope Green is coming from Florida. Her tatting
has won multiple awards. Many of you will remember her Victorian
tat trimmed outfit from the banquet fashion show last year.

Gail Hitchcock is our local girl! She is in the
middle of tackling the GLLG Tat Teacher Certification. So if she
is an aide in your class, please write her a raving review for her
teaching protfolio

Erin Holloway
Born in 1957 in Tennessee. Was abducted by aliens shortly thereafter
whereupon they implanted a mind control chip in my head that causes
me
to obsess about tatting. The rest is history. Now I work at UT
and
fall off chairs (it's that chip at work - I've lost me equilibrium!).
No, really, I taught myself to tat when I was around 11 from the
Coats
and Clark learn how book. Had the ugliest "technique" until
about 6
years ago when I relearned from a tatter doing a demonstration
at a
street fair here in town. I was THRILLED to find the online tatting community
in 1998 or so. I have had a lifelong love affair with
how-to books and anything that deals with yarn or thread. Most
of my
interests rhyme with "ats"...Cats, hats and tats (well
- I'll be
truthful here - can't leave out "fats" - i.e. chocolate
bonbons).

Jane, could you please let the aides know the secret of where to find
the ice cream, eh?
They certainly are going to earn a treat or two : )
