| Bio "FAN-tastic Pin Cushions" Time: Friday, 1 to 3 Techniques: (Shuttle
and Needle) Rings,
chains, josephine knots, tatting with flat shuttles, tatting with a
blunt tapestry needle used as if it were a shuttle, finger
tatting, encapsulation and in the second hour we will work onion ring
joins and needle tatting basics as applied to bi-color work and cluny,
split rings/split chains, if time permits. Beginner Level: Beginner tatter who just can't wait to learn to do more. Description: Supplies: Supplies for class projects: Suggested only: There
will be several options for projects on which to place your tatting.
I will have most of the materials on hand for you in small kits ranging
from 50 cents to $10 and they will be available in the vending area.
"Tatted with Love, then Hidden Away, but Brought Back to Life at Palmettos Tat Day" Time: Saturday, 11:30 to 1:30 Techniques: Tatting with flat
shuttles, tatting with a blunt tapestry needle used as if it were a
shuttle, finger tatting, encapsulation and
free form tatting and in the second half-hour we will work onion ring
joins. Hour two will let us touch on needle tatting basics as applied
to bi-color work and cluny, split rings/split chains. If time permits,
demonstrations of the magic mirror for tatting design will be held. Level: Any tatter who can thread a needle, wind a shuttle, tat a ring or make a chain and who wants to have fun doing it. Description: Supplies: There will be several options for projects on which to place your tatting. I will have most of the materials on hand for you in small kits ranging from 50 cents to $10 and they will be available in the vending area. If we get into the hanky project you would want some good hankies new or antique already edged, but which you would be willing to CUT. I will also have a selection of vintage and new hankies for sale. The Hanky Panky Book will be available at the workshop $11.00. For the etui, some prework will be necessary.

review may be requested on the spot Study Hall: This session provides additional instruction for the student who wants more direction and time to complete a project begun in an earlier class. Also, feel free to join this class if you’ve been working at home on a pattern taught in the Online Tat Class, and would like some guidance in its completion.
