Erin taught herself to tat at the age of 11 from the Coats & Clark "Learn How" book. Though her various and sundry needlework pursuits have given her much pleasure over the years, she's just as crazy about tatting now as she was when she first mastered the "flip".

Class 1 with Erin Holloway Wizard's Hat Amulet Bag or Scissor Keeper Saturday, 9:00 to 12:30 Shuttle, Beginner and UP, Project Description Further explore the techniques of block tatting while creating a fun and useful article which can be used as either an amulet bag or a festive scissor keeper.

Plain thread used here.

Techniques
One small ring, chains, lock joins.
Optional techniques:  encapsulation, daisy picots, addition of beads

Skill Level
Beginners and up.

Supplies

• 1 ball of #20 thread in a color of your choice
• 1/4 yard length of 1/8 inch wide ribbon
• small amounts of thread in compatible colors if you wish
• OR small buttons or beads for embellishment

Class 2 with Erin Holloway Palmetto cHATelaine, Saturday, 1:30 to 5:00 Shuttle, Beginners and UP, Project Description Explore the technique of block tatting by making this fun and useful chatelaine in the shape of a hat. • 1/3 yard length of 1/8 inch wide ribbon for hat band/tool attachment
• 2 large lobster claw clasps - large enough to accommodate your tatting implements
• small amounts of thread in compatible floral colors if you wish
  

Conference Class with Erin
Tat, Chat, Teach & Learn, Friday, 2:00 to 3:30

This session provides additional instruction for the student who wants more direction and time to complete a project begun in an earlier class. Or, feel free to join this class if you’ve been working at home on a pattern created by this designer, and would like some guidance in its’ completion. This class will be informal, so you may drop in at any time or schedule this time as a class for yourself.

On Time: As a courtesy to your teacher and your classmates, please arrive ON TIME to your scheduled classes. If you finish your project early, or would like additional time to visit, shop, or see the lace display, you may leave any class early.
