Description
Learn the basic technique of mastering the “flip”. We will be working on simple rings and chains with joins. Also included will be discussion on how to read several types of written instructions and diagrams using universal tatting symbols. We will also have a “field trip” to the marketplace to look at and discuss the various types of threads available and books for the new tatter.

Techniques
Rings, Chains, Joins using large thread starting with the "shoelace" technique and then working into a ring and a chain using finger tatting and shuttle tatting.

Tatting shuttle – can be a Clover type shuttle or one with a bobbin and
2 different colors of Size 10 thread
