Tatty Squirrel

Class 1: Friday at 1
Squirreling Around With Tatting
Needle and Shuttle, Intermediate, Project

Description
No garden is complete without Tatty Squirrel rummaging and creating trouble. He may just snatch your shuttles and thread and bury them for the winter. He then might uncover them if you ask nicely. A fun
project for all.

Techniques
Using two shuttles working Simple Ring and Chain, Throwing Rings off Chains, Split Rings, adding beads for eyes and nose, and Zig Zag Chains for the furry tail.

Skill Level
Intermediate to Advanced. Beginners who know how to make split rings can do this project, too.

Supplies
1) 2 or more shuttles
2) Thread and color-tatters choice
3) Crochet hook (if not attached to shuttle)
4) Needles for needle tatting (if that is the weapon of choice-remember 2005 banquet duel?)
5) Scissors
6) 3 black beads for eyes and nose
7) Picot gauge for long picots of tail
8) Any other tool (floss threader, paper clips, hair clip, etc) that makes it easy for the tatter to accomplish the project.


Class 2: Saturday at 8:30
"Florabunda"-3D Bouquet
Intermediate to Advanced, Project

Description
A 3-D bouquet can be created from several types of
flowers (roses, orchids, irises) using one pattern style of petal in addition to leaves. This versatile petal pattern can help you make a wide variety of flowers to turn into a bouquet or corsages. The making of one (or part) select flower can be accomplished within the class period.

Techniques
Split Ring Ground Diamonds and Pearl Tatting with Wire
Encapsulation.

Skill Level
Intermediate to Advanced

Supplies
1) 2 or more shuttles
2) Thread and color-tatters choice
3) Crochet hook (if not attached to shuttle)
4) Scissors
5) Picot gauge
6) 24-28 gauge wire for stiffening
7) Wire cutters
8) Pliers (plain or needle nose type)
9) Any other tool (floss threader, paper clips, hair clip, etc) that makes it easy for the tatter to accomplish the project.

Conference Class with Mark and Iris Niebach: Saturday at 1:30
Needle or Shuttle, All skill levels

Description: Your time to get one-on-one time with the teacher.
Skill Level: All skill levels.
Supplies: Anything in your bag.


On Time: As a courtesy to your teacher and your classmates, please arrive ON TIME to your scheduled classes. If you finish your project early, or would like additional time to visit, shop, or see the lace display, you may leave any class early.

P.S. Mark says there is never an idle tatter in his classes! smile
IF time permits, he has challenges to present to keep everyone in their seat, like the Maltese Split Ring! <GGG>
