Hanging Pots (with beads)
Intermediate, Technique and Project
Description
Students will learn how to handle excessive amounts of beads on shuttle and ball or on two shuttles.
Projects
Two types of HANGING POTS for fruit, flowers, or herbs, designed to show that tatting is one of the best techniques to make an open beadwork.
Techniques
Stringing beads, bead tatting rings, chains, split rings, regular joins, lock joins, "swirl" joins.

Skill Level
Intermediate.
Supplies
Students should bring thread and seed beads they would like to use for the projects, 3 empty shuttles and crochet hook(s) suitable for the thread.
There will be $15 kits available. Kits will include supplies for 3 pots (HY Mark thread size 12, Metallic Embroidery thread and beads of various size and color). |
Class 2: Saturday at 8:30
Buds and Flowers (with beads)
Beginner, Project
Description
The class is project oriented and will introduce tatting as an alternative beadwork technique. Students will learn how to handle excessive amount of beads on shuttle and ball, using different types of thread (including metallic thread) and seed beads size 10-15.
Projects
Buds & Flowers that open out into 6 petal flowers, designed with tulips in mind. |

Stringing beads, bead tatting rings, chains, making regular joins and lock joins.
Skill Level
Beginner: Basic skills needed. (Know how to do rings, chains and joins.)
Supplies
Students should bring thread and seed beads they would like to use for the projects, 3 empty shuttles, and crochet hook(s) suitable for the thread.
There will be $15 kits available. Kits will include supplies for 3 flowers (metallic thread and two types of beads). |

Class 3: Saturday at 1:30
Blossom Necklaces
Intermediate, Design
Description
The class is Design oriented. Students will learn how to handle excessive amounts of beads on shuttle and ball or on two shuttles, using fine beads and metallic thread.
Projects
A few versions of FLOWERS ARRANGED AS NECKLACES, designed with Pansies in mind. The projects are the demonstration of beads being arranged into lace with tatting as both lace making and beads organizing technique.
Techniques
Stringing beads, tatting rings, chains, split rings, making regular joins, lock joins, "swirl" joins.
The class will include a designing challenge and pattern writing (rewriting).
Skill Level
Intermediate
Supplies
Students should bring Metallic thread and seed beads they would like to use for the projects, 3-4 empty shuttles and a fine crochet hook suitable for the thread.
There will be $25 kits available. Kits will include supplies for 3 half necklaces (Gold and Silver Metallic Embroidery thread, beads of various size and color, and a CD with templates for bead tatting pattern notations and diagram making).

On Time: As a courtesy to your teacher and your classmates, please arrive ON TIME to your scheduled classes. If you finish your project early, or would like additional time to visit, shop, or see the lace display, you may leave any class early.
