Daisy Picot Bookmark
Advanced, Technique and Project

Description
You will tat a bookmark with the daisy picot technique

Technique
Daisy picot

Skill Level
Advanced: Must know how to do split rings.

Supplies
2 shuttles, crochet hook, a pair of scissors, thread in two colors the size (#) depends on which bookmark you want to tat.
~Do you want the dark one (right one in the picture)?
You need two different sizes.
For example: # 40 and # 70, or # 20 and # 50
~Do you want the one on the left in the picture?
You need two colors in the same size # 30 or # 40

Homework
Try the Daisy Picot technique, if you want.

Class 2: Saturday at 1:30
Bookmark for Beginners

Description
You will learn to tat your double stitches all the same and also learn a lot about joins.

Techniques
Double stitches and shuttle join

Skill Level
Just learned to tat.

Supplies
2 shuttles, thread in size #10 or #20 in 2 colors, 2 beads that fit on the threads-both threads are going together through the beads, crochet hook that fits with the threads, a pair of scissors.

Homework
Wind your shuttles.


Class 3: Saturday at 3:30
Flower and 2 Butterflies for a card
Beginner

Description
You will learn how to tat different sized picots and a join-things used in classic tatting. You will also learn how to hide ends at the beginning of your work.

Techniques
Rings and chains, different size picots and a  join.

Skill Level
Just learned to tat.

Supplies
Butterflies: 1 shuttle and thread in # 10 or 20 in a nice color. Can use variegated.
Flower: 2 shuttles, two different color threads (can use variegated)  in size #10 or #20. One of the colors should be green. Crochet hook that fits with the thread, pair of scissors, and a picot gauge.

Homework
Wind your shuttles
Make a Picot Gauge, if you don’t have one.
You can make your own picot gauge from an old card/cardstock thick paper. Cut small bands: 1/8 inch, 1/ 4 inch, 3/8 inch, ½ inch , 5/8 inch and so on.
