Class 1: Saturday at 8:30
Mini-Snowflakes

Needle or Shuttle, All skill levels, Project

Description
Even made with size 10 thread, this snowflake will be noticed among your holiday decorations! Made with smaller thread, it's just right to tuck into a card to send a friend. The best part – it ends with a self-hanger (no ends to hide!).

These simple snowflakes are quick and easy to make by needle or shuttle tatters.  The SCMR (Self-Closing Mock Ring) is needed and will be covered in class; needle tatters will recognize the SCMR as the basic ring taught in the Handy Hands books, so they may have a head start on the shuttle tatters!

Techniques
SCMR (Self-Closing Mock Ring)

Skill Level
Intermediate: Know how to do rings, split rings, work with picot gauges.

Supplies
Needle or shuttle, thread, beads (optional)

Class 2: Saturday at 10:30
Double-Petal Earrings
Needle or Shuttle, All skill levels, Project

Description
These pretty flowers can be made as 'jackets' to dress up your favorite stud earrings, or by adding a French hook to the thread along with the beads, as a dangle earring! Four different looks to choose from (only the number of beads varies).

Skill Level
All skill levels: Know how to do rings and joins.

Supplies
French hook earring findings (for dangle earrings) or studs, size 30 thread in the color of your choice, needle or shuttle, crochet hook for joins (if you use one)

Class 3: Saturday at 1:30
The
Jessica Rose
Needle or Shuttle, All skill levels, Project

Description
A 3D rose that can be made with just rings? Yes – and it's easy! Make a tiny bouquet to wear or present a single rose to a very special someone! This 3D project combines double-stitch with set stitches.  The rose may be sculpted as it is worked, or after all rings are completed.  The thread from the first ring and the thread from the last ring are encapsulated to form the stem.

Techniques
Encapsulating threads

Skill Level
All skill levels: Know how to do rings, joins, and encapsulating threads (or learn how to encapsulate threads here).

Supplies
Needle or shuttle, thread
You will need one shuttle, loaded with “rose” thread and one shuttle loaded with “stem” thread.  Needle tatters will need thread of a rose color and thread of a stem color, and a needle sized to work comfortably with the thread chosen.

It utilizes ring and chain to form both the flower and its stem.  Variations, which will be covered in class, include adding beads for sparkle and interest, different stems, and throwing rings off chains.

Techniques
Throwing Rings off Chains

Skill Level
All skill levels: Know rings, chains, joins. Optional: Working with beads, split rings, throwing rings off chains.

Supplies
