Description: Let’s make a pair of block tatted leaf earrings and put a bug charm button onto it. Skills Required: Basic Tatting Skills (Rings, Chains, Picots, Chains) Methods or Techniques taught: Lock joins, Block tatting, and Thrown-off rings. Materials needed: Size 20 Green thread, 2 bug charms or buttons (1/2 inch), 2 shuttles with hooks or 2 shuttles and a crochet hook, 4 yards of thread – 1.5 yards on Shuttle 1 and rest on Shuttle 2, Needle for sewing on charm/button, 2 Earring wires, and paper clip Class Preparation: Wind 1.5 yd thread onto Shuttle 1 and the remaining CTM to Shuttle 2 Kit: Optional Kit Description: "KIT: $2.50 (Students) / $3.50 (All others) Kit contents: 2 earring wires, 2 ladybug buttons, and thread. Notes: This is possible in needle tatting, but needle tatters will be on their own.
