Level II - Shuttle and Needle
Description: Students will use two shuttles or tatting needle #8 to make a beautiful flower bookmark with metallic thread and beaded asymmetric split rings.
Skills Required: Rings, split rings, chains, use of metallic thread and beads.
Techniques Taught: Tatting with metallic thread. The concept of ‘up’ and ‘down’ beads and the incorporation of those concepts in asymmetric beaded splits rings
Materials Needed and Preparation: Metallic thread, seed beads size 11, two shuttles or tatting needle #8
Kit: Optional. Cost for class participant $15.00, for non-participant $20.00.
Kit will include 3 ply metallic embroidery thread seed beads and beading needle. Please contact the teacher for color choices.
