Teacher - Bonnie Swank Level II - Shuttle and Needle
Description: Students will use a single shuttle or tatting needle #8 to make a beautiful pair of earrings made with just rings and a pulled loop join technique!
Skills Required: Rings, pulled loop join, lock join, use of metallic thread and beads.
Techniques taught: Concept of ‘up’ and ‘down’ beads, tatting with metallic thread, and learning to make a pulled loop join that incorporates a lock join as part of the technique.
Materials Needed / Pre-class Preparation: Metallic thread, seed beads size 11, beads size 4-5 mm, 1 shuttle or tatting needle #8.
Kit: Optional. Cost for class participant $9.00, for non-class participant $10.00.
Kit will include 3 ply metallic embroidery thread, seed beads size 11, beads size 4-5 mm, earring findings and beading needle. Please contact the teacher for color choices.
