Beaded floral motifs

Level 2

Beaded floral motifs are a fun way to add texture and interest to multimedia jewelry. The graduated flowers build upon each other affording the budding jewelry designer a variety of sizes while also offering cohesive design elements.
Materials Needed / Preparation: Each flower requires 20 size 11/0 czech seed beads. I suggest loading at least 100 beads on the ball thread to create 5 motifs which can then be assembled into a bracelet or necklace. Wind off 3 or 4 yards of thread onto the shuttle to begin. New thread can be loaded onto the shuttle with each successive floral motif made. Student will need a crochet hook or shuttle with one built in, flat-nose jewelry pliers are not required, but the student is invited to bring their own tools if desired. I will provide an assortment of jump rings and a variety of pliers for demonstration of proper opening and closing of jump rings.
