Make a motif with buttons and block tatting
Skills needed: rings, chains, joins, picots
Techniques taught: block tatting, joining to buttons.
Materials Needed / Preparation: "Materials: 2 or 3 shuttles, size 20 thread in 2 colors, 8 buttons (1/2"" diameter with 4 holes), 1 paperclip.
There will be an optional kit consisting of 8 buttons.
Prep: For the center section: wind one shuttle with 3 yards of the dominant color and wind a second shuttle with 2 yards of the secondary color. For the outer section, wind a shuttle with 3 yards of the secondary color and tie to the ball of the dominant color. (You could use a 3rd shuttle, or rewind one of the others after completing the center.)"
