Karen has been tatting a LOOOOOONNG time! She prefers not to put down a number. She learned from her maternal grandmother in rural Nebraska in her teens. Karen is a self-professed 'Technique Junkie' and is known as the 'Queen of Split Ring Tatting' due to her publishing of 11 books (thus far) in her 'Fun with Split Ring Tatting' book series. She's currently working on 3 more. Originally from Nebraska, she has been retired from her paying job since 2021 and is now living in Grand Junction, Colorado where she gets to play with thread full-time.
